I thought it was a very good book I also thought it was a good book for my age because it was funny and sad at different times so it made me want to read more so I could find out what happend in the end. I especially like the part when Shelley gave her gold medal to the little boy Ben for swimming in the pool. I reccemend this book to boys and girls in year 4, 5 or 6.

Sprung Again! Is a great book it has very good depth and many chapters of laughs some are exciting and some are sad I really enjoyed this book and I hope Andrew Daddo will make more books like these and Terry Denton is a great artist and does drawings for many books and the pictures are very funny as well. My favourite part of the book is when the make a massive slingshot out of their mum’s undies and fling the little puppy dog out the window with the slingshot! It was so funny. I recommend this book to anyone above year 3 because there are some rude bits in the book.

Russel And The Lost Treasure is a great picture book it was about a sheep that lived a very boring life. Then he found a treasure map from a bird so he set off to find the treasure with his friend Mr Frog. He made a treasure detector and he couldn’t find anything! So he chucked it away and it started to beep and then he digged and digged and than he finally found it and all that was in there was a camera and some olden day things so Russel gave up and went home. This book was full of humours and I recommend this book to all ages because it is funny, sad and exciting it was so adventurous.

    Author- Laurie Bolwell
    Pages- 67
    How Long- 4 Days
    Published- 1984
    Type Of Book- Fiction

In And Around The Antarctic is a great information book it helped me a lot and taught me heaps of things about Antarctica. I thought the most interesting fact was that in Antarctica (December) the sun does not rise or set for 24 hours! I thought that was really interesting. Some of the ice in Antarctica is many metres thick the ice can get as thick as 500 kilometres long! And 60 kilometres wide! Sometimes icebergs are so big they could supply fresh water for London of a whole year! I really liked this book and hopefully others who read this do to. I would recommend this book to people in year 4, 5, 6 and so on.

    Author- Kellie McDonald
    Illustrator- Andrew Plant
    Pages- 46
    How Long- 3 Days
    Published- 1997

Antarctica was a very long book with big pages but it was very interesting the pictures told me the information easily and my favourite fact was On November 12th a floating iceberg was spotted and it was 208 miles long and 60 miles wide. Antarctica is the worlds largest driest, widest and iciest continent of earth through out the winter the ice builds up and throughout the summer the ice melts so the continent gets bigger and smaller. This information book taught me heaps and I hope others like this book to. I would recommend this book to anyone in year 4 and up.

Puppy Fat was such a great book its great for all those people who have split up parents and how NOT, to react to the feeling that your parents have split up. It was full of laugh's, romance and some sad parts to. It is about a boy called Keith and his best friend Tracy try and advertise Keith's split up parents but when they try and advertise his parents by painting them on a huge wall and his parents don't even recognise themselves even with their mobile numbers on their tummies! So Keith had nothing more to do. You have to read it to find out what happens! I reccomend this book to everyone over 9 years old.
